Opened it up this was inside thanks gameco i now need to build it a stand
Great a new bench or perhaps there is something inside
Started to shape the bolster and blade profiles at this stage i like to do a little and stare at it for a while which is perfect as the oven is still a way off. The blade has no bevels as yet so a sneek peek at the pattern just shows chevrons. #nzknifemaker #damascussteel #twisteddamascus #multibardamascus #kitchenknives
A little progress here. This is the kitchen knife all welded up and forged to shape the bolsters are forge welded on and I have given it a tidy up on the grinder. Now I will thin it down and dress the shape a little before heat treat. I am waiting on a new oven so stacking up projects for that. After some years making knives it is time to make one for the kitchen so I have made a couple of bars that look like this inside twistws them amd will weld them sise to side to make a composite billet I did not feel ready to tile it. #nzknifemaker #damascussteel #twisteddamascus #kitchenknives #mosaicdamascus
